Marketing plan

The marketing plan (strategy) answers several questions, including:

  • Who or what is your target market?
  • What is the status (e.g. growing, shrinking, static) of that market?
  • How is that market segmented?
  • What are the demographic characteristics of your customers?
  • What will be (or is) your market share and how will you increase it?
  • How will you promote the business to the market?
  • How will you price your product(s) or service(s)?
  • Who is the competition?
  • What is the quality of the competitors' products or services?
