Warrensburg
Hydraulics is a partnership owned by the husband and wife team of
Bob and Terri Kendall. The company was established in 1994 to provide
sales and service for construction, agricultural and industrial equipment.
Bob supervises the service and repair aspects of the organization,
while Terri manages the financial side of the company.
Bob worked with the SBDC at Central Missouri State University in
starting his business after he retired from the military. Before long,
the business had outgrown its facility and Bob returned to the SBDC
for assistance in acquiring financing for a larger building. He was
successful and moved from a 900-square-foot leased location to his
own 3,200-square-foot facility.
In 2002, Warrensburg Hydraulics transitioned from a husband and wife
partnership to a limited liability partnership. The company has grown
and expanded its customer base to include new government contracts
to support the military.
Bob says, "We have increased our services and capabilities to
meet the additional requirements within the industry. The SBDC has
been there throughout our growth and has been able to support our
needs when the time has arisen."
With the success of his company, Bob has decided to pursue another
business venture in the spray-on bed lining industry. Once again,
Bob turned to the SBDC for help in developing a business plan and
acquiring financing. The new venture is underway.
With
the SBDC's involvement in Warrensburg Hydraulics and B&B Rhino Linings,
Bob says, "We can only succeed."
