Mid-America Trade Adjustment Assistance for Firms: The Trade Adjustment Assistance for Firms (TAA) is a federal program that provides funding and assistance to American manufacturers and some service firms that have been affected by changes in international markets, offshoring and other threats to competitiveness. TAA's goal is to help firms compete with other global suppliers by strengthening their financial stability.
