Kiki: It seems like your Rowdy Nail Polish business just took off. Was it all luck?

Sara: More like careful planning. I like to think ahead, not be in over my head. I couldn't have done it without my business plan. It took a lot of initiative and discipline to do this. Hard work! You have to be your own boss, no one will do it for you!

Kiki: What are the keys to success?

Sara: You have to put in the time, plan the strategy, know your market, tap into your management skills and be ready for anything. If you're ready to do the work, the reward is priceless!

Kiki: So, you jumped into an Internet business. Did you have instant success?

Ricky: Well, I had no plan, just a good idea. I jumped in and was way over my head. The idea was so good that I was swamped…but I had no business plan. I always knew that 9 to 5 was not for me, but because I wasn't prepared I was suddenly working 12 -16 hours per day.

Kiki: Ricky, shout out some advice. What does it take to run a successful business?

Ricky: You have to be ready, it's not a party! When things get rough, you must have what it takes to push through. It takes a lot of dedication, hard work, planning and you have to want it! You have to be smart, dedicated, disciplined but also have a great time-that's success!
