================================================================== Small Business Resource Guide 2008 March 2008 ================================================================== Minimum SBRG Configuration Requirements: Operating System: Windows 2000/XP/Vista or Macintosh OS X 10.4.3 or higher Recommended Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0 or later / Firefox 1.5 or later Apple Safari 2.0.2 or later Recommended Display: 800 x 600 or higher screen resolution, thousands of colors or higher Starting the SBRG CD-ROM: In Windows, this CD should autorun. If not, open the file named index.htm in your browser. Go to My Computer, double click the CD drive and double-click index.htm or right click on the CD drive, choose explore, double click index.htm. On the Mac, open the CD and launch index.htm. Please note: All users will need the free Adobe Reader to view the PDF files on this CD. ADOBE READER: *Note: To get the entire benefits of the SBRG, you must have Adobe Reader 8.1.2 or later installed on your computer. Adobe Reader 8.1.2 is included on the SBRG CD-ROM. This CD works with Windows 98 and ME but Adobe Reader 8.1.2 does not support these operating systems. To install, navigate to the "Adobe_Reader" folder on the SBRG CD and double-click "Setup." You should close all applications, including the SBRG, before installing the Reader. To install Adobe Reader, go to My Computer, choose the CD drive, right click and choose "Explore." Navigate to the "Adobe_Reader" folder and launch the file therein. On the Mac, open the CD, navigate to the "Adobe_Reader" folder and launch the file therein. For other operating systems, you may download the Adobe Reader software from Adobe’s website at www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html Adobe Reader, along with rights-enabled forms provided by IRS, enables you to fill-in, print, search, and save PDF documents. Troubleshooting: Problem: "I get an error when I try to save my fill-in forms." Solution: Do not attempt to save your forms on the CD-ROM. Use "Save As" to save the files to your hard drive. Problem: "My printer doesn't have enough memory to print a PDF file." Solution: Try to print one page or a group of pages at a time. If possible, upgrade your printer memory.
