News: ENERGY STAR Small Business Awards

Applications are now available for the 2008 ENERGY STAR Small Business and Congregations Awards. The annual ENERGY STAR Awards program, sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, offers a way for organizations to receive recognition for their energy cost-cutting efforts.

An award application is available on-line. It can be downloaded and submitted via mail, fax or e-mail. Questions and technical support is available and contact information is found on the application. Application deadline is June 30.

The awards program is open to any small business, congregation or non-profit which has effectively reduced energy costs by upgrading facilities, using free ENERGY STAR tools and resources, or implemented other ENERGY STAR recommendations. The activities can include upgrades or energy management improvements during the last two years.
