About EAC

The Missouri Environmental Assistance Center (EAC) is the one-stop resource for environmental assistance for Missouri businesses.

EAC helps businesses:

  • save money through reducing or eliminating waste
  • navigate environmental permits and regulations

The EAC is a partnership of the University of Missouri Extension Business Development Program and the College of Engineering, with funding provided by the US Environmental Protection Agency. The EAC is a proud member of the Region 7 EPA Pollution Prevention Roundtable.

Pollution prevention intern program
Companies, school districts and government agencies, and other large facilities can apply for a pollution prevention intern for summer 2010 and learn the benefits of leaning and greening operations. Our interns have saved Missouri businesses:
$484,600 cost savings
3,289,000 kWh electricity
14,000 MMBTU natural gas
84 tons solid waste
3,378 metric tons CO2 equivalent
